Private Couples Intensive Therapy
Join me December 1-3 2023
Marathon Couples Therapy is a dynamic alternative to traditional weekly sessions. It is a condensed and focused approach to marriage counseling that will provide you with the time you need to address specific issues and get your relationship back on track. These private couple intensive sessions, are customized to your needs and designed to condense 6-15+ months of counseling into just a few days while using cutting edge science, research, and approaches. Resolve long standing resentments between you, learn skills to stop them from returning. Through building a connection, empathy, and respect.
The next session will be held at Lithia Springs Resort in Ashland on December 1-3rd 2023
Using the research, John and Julie Gottman created, Gottman Method Couples Therapy that emphasizes a positive, “nuts and bolts” approach to improving your relationship.
What will you gain?
With this method, you will learn specific tools to deepen friendship and intimacy in your relationship. To help you manage conflicts, I use various methods to help solve resolvable problems that are solvable, and to dialogue about “grid-locked,” unsolvable, “perpetual issues.”
We will also work together to help you appreciate your relationship’s strengths, and to gently navigate through its vulnerabilities.
Assessment 4 hours
The research the Gottman’s have done over the past 40 years has shown that an assessment is a important part to find out what is going on for the relationship and what interventions can help, it guides the entire process. The assessment starts with each couple completing the online assessment at home, this gives information regarding the sound relationship house and what areas need help. As part of the assessment, I will then meet with the couple together for the first appointment. Then each person individually for an hour. I will then meet with the couple again together and we will establish the treatment plan and go over the feedback of the assessment.
Schedule for the weekend:
We will meet at the resort Friday December 4th at 4:00pm-6:00pm
Saturday we will meet from 8:00AM-12:00pm
break for lunch 12:00-1:00pm (lunch on your own, lots of delicious options in Ashland)
Saturday 1:00-6:00pm - we will take short breaks as needed
Sunday morning from 8:00am to 10:00am - wrap up and set up plans for the future, how to implement all the new interventions, resources and coping skills.
This marathon session is good for a couple that is trying to get back on track.
-
This is for couples who have struggled for some time with friendship or conflict

Have a desire to enhance intimacy
-
Needing help making big life decisions (i.e., to have children, to make a job change, to relocate, etc.)
-
Need support to recover from an affair
-
Rebuild trust
-
My couples in the past have come in disconnected due to breach of trust, resentment, conflict, some of them “never fight” and do not know what their perpetual problems are yet have a resentment and disconnection. After treatment they find ways to connect, they can make repairs in a lasting way, they resolve long standing conflicts, they start to trust each other and express themselves in a clear way.
-
Couples with active domestic violence are not candidates for this treatment.
-
I have specialized training to treat affairs
