Accepting Insurance
I have heard many therapists struggle with whether or not to accept insurance. I have personally always wanted to accept insurance so that I could serve people from every economic area. I know many people are fearful of accepting insurance due to the audits as well as waiting for payments, or being denied payment.
I have found using headway has cut back on this. They pay me biweekly, and they wait for payment. They offer an electronic health record and tips and tricks for writing notes that will meet the minimum requirements.
With headway, I accept a lot of private health plans. I personally also accept state insurance, I have had good luck with them and timely payments.
